I went through some old stuff and found some very old CD Rewritables. When I went to college at the Graphic Lyceum we started out with Zip-drives. Later on we could also use CD rewritables, what made life a bit easier and less expensive… On this one I found some of my old illustrations from ’99. Looks like my drawing-style didn’t change much throughout the years.. My taste in fonts did though : )

I’ve been making digital illustrations for a while now. Thought it would be fun to do a real painting for a change. So this is Vladimir, waiting in my livingroom to be finished.

It’s a bit scary not to have the undo button and multiple layers to try what works best.. This time I’ve made it a bit easy on myself by using a print of my own illustration as example. Next time I’ll start with a blank canvas and only an idea in my head!

This little feller was lying around the house. He looked sad, so I gave him hands and a nose. I didn’t help, he’s still sad… I keep seeing faces in all kinds of objects around me lately. So maybe someday I’ll make a little friend for him.

Today I did an interview for ‘de Uitstraling’ and it made me realize that I’m not blogging as much as I should. So, today I start fresh and new! I’ll let you take a sneak peek in my life now and then, and keep you up to date with what I’m doing.
